Swim School

For children 4 years old and above.

Our team of friendly, engaging and dedicated teachers will encourage and develop your child’s abilities as they progress through the Swim England programme (stages1-9), teaching technique, water skills and working towards stage appropriate targets. We keep our class sizes and teacher to pupil ratios low so that your child gets as much attention as possible.

Our Sunday Swim Academy sessions are an hour long and focus on stamina and advanced technique and are suitable for children in Stage 7 and above looking to join a swimming club, work towards swimming as a PE GCSE option or who have chosen Swimming as the skill option for their Duke of Edinburgh Award.

Our premium courses offer even smaller class sizes and our most experienced teachers, meaning that your child will get more attention each session and will likely progress faster through the Swim England Stages. These courses are perfect at helping your child improve quickly if their progress has begun to plateau or if they need particular attention on a specific area of stroke technique.

Taught on a one-to-one or two-to-one basis, our private lessons offer your child the greatest amount of attention and expertise and are particularly appropriate if they thrive away from a group environment.

Bookable as a termly block (swimming once per week), our private lessons are available whenever we have group swimming and additionally on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Please contact the Swim School Coordinator for availability and more details at recre8@tonbridge-school.org
